Puller
Educational Application.
Details
Institution: UCB
Product: Educational Application
Indexing: IAEA
Publication: Brazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences
Training in radiation protection requires precise understanding of concepts related to
dosimetry and safety. The PULLER application was developed to support this process through a
digital educational experience based on the Contextualized Instructional Design methodology.
PULLER gained recognition within the scientific community through publication in the
Brazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences (BJRS). The project was also indexed in INIS, an
international scientific information database maintained by the International Atomic Energy
Agency.
1. Foundation
The use of technology in learning expands students' autonomy, making them more
critical and participative. PULLER® was developed based on the 'Contextualized
Instructional Design' methodology, using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP to provide
an interactive and accessible environment without the pressure of fixed time or
location.
2. Results
In PULLER®, students explore essential concepts of dosimetry and radiation
protection using resources such as the radiological calculator. The impact of the
application was significant: 70% of the 300 participants reached the target average
score of 8 points, showing improvement between the pre-test and post-test results.
3. Experience
PULLER® provides a digital environment that supports learning in radiation
protection, integrating conceptual content and practical tools such as the
radiological calculator. The proposal aims to support professional training by
expanding access to specialized educational resources.
